| Background
Education
includes two years at Washington University in St. Louis,
Missouri; three years at the Kootenay School of Art in Nelson,
British Columbia, Canada, graduating with a Diploma of Fine
Arts; and five years at the School of Architecture at the
University of Minnesota in Minneapolis graduating with honors
and a Bachelor of Architecture degree in 1978.
From
graduation until starting Peter Curtis Architect in 1991
Peter worked
with Close Associates, David Todd Runyon & Associates,
Hammel Green & Abrahamson and Klein McCarthy + Company and
was involved with corporate clients including Pillsbury, General
Mills
and IBM, governmental entities including the Department of Natural
Resources, Chisago County, Renville County and Inver Hills Community
College.
Since
founding his own studio he has worked with North Hennepin
Community College and Liberty CheckPrinters and collaborated
with Carlsen & Frank
Architects on projects at the University of Minnesota and the
Dorothy Day Center in St. Paul.
In
the past six years the studio focus has turned to the design
and renovation of single family houses. |
