Starting
with a 1970 walk-out ranch house, an eight-foot addition was
added to expand the kitchen. The office was built as a freestanding
structure connected to the existing house by a greenhouse with
a spiral stair in the greenhouse providing access between the
two floors of the office space. A balcony in the office allows
both levels to take advantage of a large window overlooking the
bog to the rear of the building.
Cork
flooring is used in both the office and the kitchen. The white
birch cabinets in the kitchen have cork countertops and an
eight foot long custom stainless steel sink and drainboard.
The ceramic tile mural over the cooktop was made by Laura McCaul
